All Change Starts with Truth
As we head into the new year, I’m doing something I’ve done for years: my own self-audit. This is where I take a hard, honest look at myself and ask the questions that most of us avoid.
Where am I falling short? Where do I need to step up?
If you’re anything like me, you have areas of your life that desperately need your attention. And while it might seem like I have it all figured out from the outside, I can assure you I don’t.
No one does — not me, not the people you follow on Instagram, not the voices you look up to on podcasts or newsletters.
The reality is we’re all a work in progress. But the prerequisite to real change is truth and honesty.
If you can’t be honest about where you are right now, how can you make a plan to get where you want to go?
What’s Your Truth?
Maybe it’s your fitness and nutrition. For many people, that’s the first domino to fall—the catalyst to a chain reaction of positive change. It is also the thing on everyone’s mind as we head into the New Year.
Why are fitness and nutrition such gateway drugs for change? Because if you’re not healthy, strong, and capable, can you really show up as your best self? Can you even think clearly enough or have the mental capacity to dig any deeper if you are out of shape and your nutrition is out of whack?
This is why, in January, we’re kicking off a 12-week transformation open to anyone ready to do the work.
Here’s the simple plan:
-
A Clear Nutrition Protocol to complement all of our training programs.
-
Monthly Progress Pictures to hold yourself accountable and track real results.
-
Ongoing accountability through this newsletter, our podcast, and some additional and very exciting additions we have coming in 2025!
And let me say this: the power of progress pictures can’t be overstated. A picture doesn’t lie. It’s not about looking perfect; it’s about tracking the truth so you can keep moving forward. We can all tell ourselves little lies day in and day out.
“I eat mostly 80/20.”
“My nutrition and training is pretty good.”
“I stay pretty active.”
This is where progress pictures can keep you honest.
For those of you who jumped into our NZ90 challenge back in October, it’s time to submit those before-and-after pictures. We’re picking a grand prize winner to take home a brand new Rogue Echo Bike—because we’re not messing around in 2025. Just hit reply to this email and send your before AND after photos along with which training program you followed throughout the 90-day challenge. We will pick a winner before the end of the month!
The Time is Now
The hard truth is that most people will wait until January 1 to make a change, only to quit by February. Why? Because they never got brutally honest about where they’re starting and what needs to change.
In Busy Times, Do It Anyway.
