When I first started my CrossFit journey, I followed crossfit.com every day for a year.

After that, the program I followed evolved a lot. For several years, I followed programming written by another coach. Then for the next 10 years, I wrote my own programming on a daily and weekly basis for the athletes at NorCal CrossFit who were competing.

The goal then was to evaluate how they were feeling, how they were responding, and keep evolving the training with one purpose in mind: create the Fittest on Earth and CrossFit Champions. It worked well.

At one point, we had a name for the work we were doing: the NC LAB.

We called it that because we were constantly testing ideas, seeing what was possible, and finding out what the body was capable of doing.

Over the years, I’ve tried almost every strength cycle and training blend out there.

Which leads me to getting back in the lab.

The last few years, I’ve been following preplanned 6 to 8 week cycles. I built those alongside a team, and we saw some great success. The goal wasn’t to create CrossFit Champions anymore. It was to help men become more capable.

But recently, I’ve felt pulled back to how we did it back in the day.

I’ve been writing and adjusting workouts on a weekly basis again. I test and complete the workouts myself. I listen to your feedback. I evaluate how I’m feeling. And I keep asking one question:

Is this the best week of workouts to help men TRAIN HARD in 45 minutes and become as physically capable as possible?

That’s the North Star.

And we’re doing it.
So if you’re looking for a program built for that purpose, it’s here.

This is the exact training I’m doing right now. Real workouts for real schedules. Strength, conditioning, and consistency without letting training take over your life.

And if you have feedback on the program, email me back. I’m writing workouts daily and loving the process.

We’re building this together.
Let's go!
