This past week I was in Virginia working with a law enforcement agency.

We spent the morning talking through what I've learned over the last 20 years about fitness, nutrition, recovery, mobility, and mindset. The goal wasn't to overwhelm them with information. It was to give them the cheat codes. The handful of things that actually move the needle.

Before we headed to the gym and got on the mats, we spent some time talking about mindset.

Because at the end of the day, I think there's one idea that's more important than almost anything else.

Never let your momentum get to zero.

You don't need to crush it every day. You don't need to PR every workout or eat perfectly every meal.

You just need to keep moving.

The analogy I used was a car running out of gas.

Once your car runs out of gas and comes to a stop, you don't have the luxury of just turning the key and driving away. You have to get out and push it. Pushing a car is hard. Keeping one moving is much easier.

I think we've all experienced that.

Miss one workout and it's not a big deal. Miss three weeks and suddenly getting back feels overwhelming.

Eat off plan for one meal? No problem. Let it turn into a month and now you're trying to rebuild habits from scratch.

The same thing happens in relationships, at work, and with your family. Momentum is easy to underestimate until you lose it.

That's what the Never Zero mindset has always meant to me.

Not perfection.

Not all or nothing.

Just refusing to let the needle drop to zero.

Keep training hard,

Jason
