This past Sunday, we hosted the first-ever TRAIN HARD Family Fitness Day on Father's Day.
I wanted to give families the opportunity to start the day off right, get them moving together, and give kids a chance to see what their dads do every weekend at the TRAIN HARD Men's Club.
This was the first time we'd rented a space specifically for an event like this. So I booked the front lawn at Los Gatos High School, planned a workout, and all that was left to do was see who showed up.
More than 170 people came, most of them were kids, and it was awesome.
Like always, the workout itself was great, but the conversations afterward were what stood out.
One wife walked up and told me how excited she was to finally see what her husband does every Saturday morning. She said the impact TRAIN HARD Men's Club has had on him has been life-changing.
Another dad sent a message later that day saying he'd never seen his son work that hard before. He said it was because he looked around and saw everyone else working hard too.
Our kids pay attention to what we do.
They notice how we treat people. They notice whether we keep our word. They notice whether we show up when things are hard.
You don't have to give a speech about discipline for your kids to learn about discipline. You just have to live it.
If you've never joined a TRAIN HARD Men's Club for a Saturday workout, consider this your invitation and find a club near you.
And if you're already part of a Men's Club, keep showing up.
You never know who's watching.
Keep training hard,
Jason
